Achievements of Doris-Tenedi's students

In the short history of Doris Tenedi School, our students won exceptionally high international, national and regional prizes and awards.

Internation Recognition

Under UNESCO project in November 2008 our school was invited to send a delegation of 46 students and 8 teachers and to present an exhibition of students drawings in the Mayors Corridor in The City Hall of Vienna (Rathaus)

In 2007 our school was chosen to send delegation of 24 students and 2 teachers, which took part in the work and in the official session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the Day of Europe – 9th of May. Two of our students were chosen to open the working session n in the Parliament.

Doris Tenedi School was one of the four schools chosen to represent Bulgaria and its educational concepts on an international cultural forum during 2000 in Bordeaux - France.

Since 2001 Doris Tenedi School has participated in the development of educational project 'Comenius' organized and financed by the EU. During 2003 it successfully brought to end the 'From Barter to Euro' project, and during 2004 the 'Formation of European Consciousness in Young People' project.

In 2006 was concluded successfully the three year project "For the water"

Doris Tenedi School received deserved recognition for participating in the debate 'Spring in Europe for the Future of Europe' receiving honorable mark and grateful acknowledgement, signed by the Chairman of European Parliament Patrick Cox, Chairman of European Convention Valery Giscard D'Estaing, Chairman of Eurpean Commission Romano Prodi and the Chairman of Council of European Union Costas Simitis.


Alexander Atanasov achieved unprecedented result – maximum possible score on SAT2 exam on mathematics

Radoslav Ivanov achieved unprecedented result – level C2 on German language certification exam in Goethe Institut

More than 600 students received City & Guilds Pitman certificate of level of command of English language, 80% out of which achieved maximum result - “First Class”    

In 2001 the students of 4th grade, and in 2004 the students of 3rd grade achieved unprecedented for Bulgaria result of 100% “First Class” on Pitman exam.


Our student Slavina Georgieva was awarded with first place at the National English Essay Competition organized by Peace Corps and American University in Blagoevgrad

A poem written by our student Ema Sopadjieva was nominated by the jury of the International Open Poetry Contest to be published in the American Poetry Almanac – “The Silence Within, Library of Congress ISBN-0-7951-5062-0-8. The poem was also awarded with cash prize

Our student Michaela Yaneva won first places at different national essay competitions organized by Bulgarian Council of Ministers, British Council, USIT Colours, British Airways, Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science, International Migration Organization.

Our student Peter Reeves was awarded with full scholarship to study in one of the renowned schools in USA – Calhoun School.

On average 98% of all our High School Graduates are accepted immediately after graduation in prestige Universities in Bulgaria, USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Austria, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Poland, and Greece
About 10% of them receive Scholarships on the basis of their excellent results in “Doris – Tenedi” School


The school was nominated in 2005 to become the national coordinator of private schools of the European Counsel of School Parliaments in Brussels.
